Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Policy applies to purchases of Hivacy products made directly via our website or in-app checkout. We strongly recommend all users try the Free Version before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your webcam and hardware.
1) Quick Summary (Read this first)
Try Before You Buy: Hivacy provides a Free Version to test webcam compatibility and motion detection features. Therefore, refunds are generally NOT available for compatibility issues or simple change of mind.
Digital Product: Once a license key is activated or used, it cannot be returned.
Defects: We will refund only if there is a verified technical defect that we cannot fix (requested within 7 days).
EU/UK: The 14-day right of withdrawal applies only if you have not activated the license and did not consent to immediate supply.
2) Standard Refund Outcomes
We aim to be fair but strict to prevent abuse. The table below explains our policy:

| Duplicate purchase | Yes | We will void and refund the duplicate charge immediately. |
| Key not delivered | Yes | If we cannot resolve delivery within 24 hours, a full refund is issued. |
3) Detailed Refund Policy
A. No Refunds for Change of Mind Since Hivacy offers a fully functional Free Version, users are expected to test the software's performance and hardware compatibility before purchasing the Premium version. We strictly do not offer refunds for:
"My webcam is not detected" (This could have been tested in the Free Version).
"Motion detection is not sensitive enough" (Sensitivity settings can be tested in the Free Version).
"I just don't need it anymore."
B. Exceptions (Defects) Refunds are issued solely at our discretion in the following critical cases, provided the request is made within 7 days of purchase:
The license key provided is invalid and Support cannot resolve the issue.
A critical technical error prevents the software from opening entirely, and no solution is provided by our team.
Note: Upon refund, your license key will be permanently deactivated and banned.
4) Regional Consumer Rights
EU/UK – Right of Withdrawal
You have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from the contract unless you have activated the digital content.
Important: By purchasing and activating the license, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the activation/download begins.
Republic of Korea
In accordance with the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, digital content that can be viewed or used immediately upon receipt (such as a license key) is generally not eligible for withdrawal once the key has been provided/activated.
United States & Other Regions
We comply with applicable consumer laws. Where non-waivable rights apply, they prevail over this Policy.
5) How to Request a Refund
Email bethemasterkey@gmail.com with your Order ID and License Key.
Describe the issue clearly. If it is a technical defect, please attach screenshots or log files.
Our team will review your request. If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
