How to use?
1) Download
Get the installer from the website and install Hivacy.
2) Choose version & grant permissions
Open app and choose the version (free/premium).
On first launch, allow Camera (webcam) and Accessibility/Input permissions (needed for hotkeys).
3) Set a Motion Exclusion Zone
Mark the area you want Hivacy to ignore so your own movements don’t trigger detection.
Drag to draw the zone; fine-tune the shape so only behind-you movement gets caught.
You can create multiple motion detection exclusion zones by turning them on simultaneously.
4) Select Tracking Mode: Decide whether you want the camera to "watch" or "ignore" you inside the box.
- Active tracking: "I want instant reaction." Hivacy keeps an eye on you even inside the box. As soon as you intentionally move out of the zone, it triggers instantly. Use this if you plan to trigger the action yourself by moving your body.
- Not active tracking: "I want no mistakes." Hivacy is blind to the Exclusion Zone. It will never trigger accidentally while you are moving inside the box. Perfect for long sessions or unstable lighting conditions.
5) Adjust Sensitivity (Premium only)
If a watcher may appear farther away, increase sensitivity to catch smaller motion.
If you get false triggers, lower it and stabilize lighting/camera angle.
6) Choose what happens on detection
Pick the automatic action(s) to run when motion is detected.
(Some can be combined.)
Go to Desktop + Mute (Win+D, mute) — Included in Free
Instantly shows the desktop and mutes system audio.
Alt+Tab + Mute — (Premium only)
Rapid Alt+Tab + mute so it looks like you were doing something else.
Close the Window (Alt+F4) — (Premium only)
Closes the current window to minimize on-screen traces.
Go to Virtual Desktop + Mute — (Windows only · Premium only)
With a right-side desktop pre-created, runs Win+Ctrl+→ to switch + mute.
Appears as if you’re working on a different desktop.
Make a New Virtual Desktop + Mute — (Windows only · Premium only)
Runs Win+Ctrl+D to create a new desktop and switch + mute.
Makes previous activity harder to find.
Beginner tip: Virtual desktops let Windows keep multiple desktops.
7) Start Motion Detection
Click Start Motion Detection.
(Depending on settings, Hivacy can stop after one detection to prevent repeated triggers.)
8) Test & use
Wave your hand outside the Exclusion Zone to test the action.
If it behaves as intended, focus on your secret work—Hivacy watches your six.
